Cleaning the soot and ash deposits from a Diesel Particulate Filter can be quite dramatic !

The Complete DPF Clean

Forte Engine Flush, Diesel Injector Cleaner and DPF Regenerator

DPF blockages are often caused by deposits in the diesel injectors that cause a poor fuel spray pattern for the diesel injectors. This in turn leads to incomplete combustion. Incomplete combustion generates larger soot particles that are not processed as easily by the DPF, which leads to DPF blockages.

As part of a Complete DPF Clean we recommend cleaning the fuel injectors with Forte's Diesel Specialist Injector Cleaner. Properly performing diesel injectors will improve fuel combustion and increase exhaust temperature, therefore normal DPF regeneration is easier to achieve. 

Before a Diesel Particulate Filter, or DPF, becomes completely blocked and causes the dashboard warning lamp to illuminate, there have been multiple failed DPF regeneration attempts. Failed DPF Regeneration often results in diesel fuel accumulating in the engine oil, which causes oil sludge and contamination of the engine oil in the engine.

As part of a Complete DPF Clean it's always recommended to use Forte's New Generation Engine Flush to remove that sludge and diesel fuel/engine oil mixture from the engine, before replacing the engine oil and fitting a new oil filter. 

The final part of a Complete DPF Clean is to give the vehicle a helping hand to complete a passive DPF regeneration cycle once the DPF has been cleaned by Forte's DPF Cleaning Machine.

Adding Forte's DPF Cleaner & Regenerator to the fuel tank of the vehicle helps that regeneration process to kick start. It does so by reducing the exhaust temperature needed to burn the soot and carbon that's accumulated in the exhaust to regenerate the DPF.
